The only appropriate words for my day on Thursday is OMG. It was a long day, following many late nights and early mornings through the convention, but it was well worth it. Especially when I got to see my man, Barack Obama at the Illinois Women's Institute for Leadership and Illinois Democratic Women luncheon. Yes, this is just how I roll. Okay it was really more like luck, but more on that below.

I will be honest. I did not listen much to Joe Biden in the primary. But I do know that Justin talked a lot about what a great candidate he was. So I was curious to hear what he would have to say on Wednesday night at the convention.

So I failed to blog last night about the amazing night that was ladies' night at the DNCC 2008. Celebrating the anniversary of women's suffrage, it was very appropriate for us to hear from leaders such as Kathleen Sebelius, Tammy Baldwin and Hillary Clinton. I just want to focus on Hillary's speech for a minute here.

So I am going to write tonight about the end of my night. Seeing as it is nearly 2 am, I will leave my blogging about the actual convention until tomorrow. This evening I had the wonderful opportunity of attending the Concert for a Cooler Climate being sponsored in part by the League of Conservation Voters. I was especially psyched about this because my favorite band of all time (for the last couple years anyway), Death Cab For Cutie, was the main attraction.

Today started the Democratic National Committee Convention (DNCC). The speakers reflected the open arms nature of the Democratic Party, and how we are able to bridge the gaps that exist in America to be a party of unity.
