The Georgetown University Law Center Democrats will host the Law School Democrats’ 6th annual national convention at the Georgetown University Law Center.
Convention attendees will have the opportunity to participate in forums with topics including economic policy and job creation, campus organizing, and voting rights. Download the flyer in color or black and white. A working schedule is posted here.

This year’s convention will be free! Donations to the Law School Democrats are always welcome..
Elections
Law School Democrats’ membership will gather during lunch on the second day (April 2) of the convention to vote on bylaws changes and elect the 2011-2012 Board of Directors. For a description of the different positions, please go here.
Any member of the Law School Democrats is eligible
to run for a board position. Candidates may either collect 25 signatures and
run for positions from the floor, or they may submit a written statement for a
particular position in advance of the convention. Please submit candidacy
statements to the Elections Director at jgroos
lawschooldems [dot] org. The deadline for submitting candidacy statements is Wednesday, March 30. If you are interested in running for a particular position feel free to contact
a current board member; contact information is listed on the website.
In addition,convention attendees will be voting on a number of changes to the national bylaws. Please go here to review the proposed changes.
Location
The Georgetown University Law Center is located near Union Station and Capitol Hill at 600 New Jersey Ave., N.W., Washington, DC, 20001 (202-662-9000). Events will take place on the 12th floor of the Gewirtz Student Center; Gewirtz is located across from McDonough Hall (the main building).
Accommodations
This year we are offering housing for convention attendees with D.C.-area law students to help lower the cost of convention attendance. If you are interested in staying with a D.C.-area law student, please check the box on the registration form. Contact Joel Murray, jmurray

There are also a number of hotels are located within walking distance of the Georgetown University Law Center or are simply a few metro stops from the Judiciary Square station located a block away (for a map of GULC click HERE. For a metro map click HERE). You may also consider a hotel outside of the District, near a Metro station, to save money.
